Sunday morning is the most important time in our life together as a church. It is the one time each week when we all gather together to hear from God and to respond to Him in corporate worship. We love it when new people join us. We hope you will come and join us this Sunday and we want you to feel welcome. Here is a little information on what you can expect during a typical worship service.
The centerpiece of Fellowship in the Pass Church is solid teaching from the Bible. We not only believe that the Bible is the completely true and trustworthy Word of God, we also believe God gave it to us for the express purpose of shaping our thinking and our behavior. Therefore, we always dedicate time to hearing God’s word taught when we gather on Sundays. After a time of singing and prayer, a pastor reads from the Bible, explains what it means, and applies God’s truth to our lives.
Worship through Music
God has not only called us to learn from Him, but also to worship Him. Therefore, we usually spend the first half of our worship service singing songs to God. We draw from a variety of traditions and select songs that are theologically sound, centered on Jesus Christ, and musically enjoyable. We have a strong choir and orchestra ministry that encourage the congregation as we worship God together.
During each worship service someone will lead the congregation in prayer. These are times for all of us to speak to God by lifting our thoughts and hearts to Him. We also encourage people to pray together after the service. If you would like someone to pray with you, just come to the front after the service and talk to a member of our Prayer Team.
Each Sunday morning we give the members of our church the opportunity to give of their money as an act of worship to God. If you are a guest or are new, please just be our guest. Our weekly offering is for those who consider Fellowship in the Pass their church home.
